Your adventure begins with a scenic boat ride through the turquoise Caribbean waters bordering Cahuita National Park, home to one of Costa Rica’s most important coral reef ecosystems. Throughout the experience, the Caribbean Blue team provides professional assistance and local knowledge of the reef, helping guests enjoy the activity safely and comfortably.

Once at the snorkeling areas, you’ll explore clear tropical waters and coral formations where you may encounter colorful reef fish such as angelfish, parrotfish, butterflyfish, as well as stingrays, sea turtles, and other marine species depending on the day’s conditions.

One of the advantages of our partnership with Caribbean Blue is the quality of the equipment used during the tour. Guests are provided with properly maintained masks, fins, life jackets, and snorkeling gear, helping ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience whether you are snorkeling for the first time or have previous experience.

The crew’s familiarity with the Cahuita reef, local sea conditions, and snorkeling areas also allows the excursion to be adapted according to visibility, currents, weather, and ocean conditions on the day of the tour.

After snorkeling, enjoy time along the beautiful Caribbean coastline, surrounded by tropical forest, palm trees, and white-sand beaches. Fresh tropical fruit and drinking water are provided during the experience. We encourage guests to bring a reusable water bottle, which can be refilled during the tour as part of our effort to reduce single-use plastic.

What is the starting point?

The meeting point is in Cahuita Village, the marine main entrance of Cahuita National Park. Exact instructions and location details will be sent the day before the tour.

What time does the tour start?

There are two daily departures — at 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., depending on sea conditions and park regulations. Private departures may be arranged upon request.

What is the cost?

The price is $45 per person (shared group basis). Private tours are also available upon request for an additional fee.
