Los lugares donde comimos y las excursiones que realizamos fueron fantásticos.

We booked the full package (parking in La Pavona - transport to and from Tortuguero - 3 tours) and it was the best decision we ever made. Isaac was super duper reliable, everything worked out perfectly, pick up times were always met punctually, and the tours with Isaac were fantastic: Issac is in the job with all his heart, he knows a lot and is really experienced and could show us so many animals - incredible! It was also great that we booked everything via Costa Rica Wildlife Tours, because Isaac functioned as a coordinator, sent us WhatsApp messages and when and where to be and what to wear and if we had a question, we could contact him and got an immediate reply. Alicia and I loved our trip with Isaac.

He has huge knowledge of Tortuguero national park, and an intimate relationship with all the birds and animals that live there.

As a couple who have been running our own tour company for 18 years before recently retiring, it was extremely relaxing to go on a three day tour with him, where he organised all the logistics of what to see and when.

This is crucial during nesting time for the giant turtles (we were lucky enough to see them laying eggs on shore), as access is carefully controlled to protect the reptiles.

After finishing our night tour of the nesting at 10pm, we were up at 5.30am for a boat tour just as dawn had broken: the best time to see bird life on the river, followed by a short hike within the forest where we saw different types of money, anteaters and a snake!

Isaac also organised a three hour boat trip back through the canals and rivers to Puerto Limon, another (this time unexpected) highlight of the trip.

Isaac is a lovely guy, very chatty and informative, and clearly passionate about what he does.

Incredible experience, Isaac had so much wildlife knowledge which he shared throughout the tour. Highly recommended doing a guided tour as you see so much more wildlife. Thanks to Isaac’s spotting skills - we saw numerous sloths including babies, iguanas, a bright yellow snake, so many monkeys, bats, birds and more. It’s been a highlight of our trip.

Great several days exploring Costa Rica with Isaac. I was able to design my own itinerary with visits to the rain forest/waterfalls, Tortugero, cloud forest and historic as well as current capital. His English is excellent, van comfortable for long road trips with excellent music feed! He has a strong love for his country and nature, and enjoys sharing his knowledge with his guests.
