Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. That’s why we aim to be as flexible as possible with cancellations due to major unforeseen events.

Cancellations made more than 15 days before the tour or service date:
Fully refundable — no charges will apply.

Cancellations made within 15 days of the scheduled start date:
100% of the total amount will be charged, unless the cancellation is due to a verified major unforeseen event, such as a medical emergency, flight cancellation, or natural disaster.

No-shows or failure to appear at the scheduled pick-up time and location will be charged in full.

If you need to cancel due to a major unexpected event, please notify us as soon as possible. We reserve the right to request supporting documentation, such as a medical note or airline cancellation notice, in order to waive cancellation fees.

Modifications, reductions in participants, or reductions in service days made within 15 days of the scheduled date are also subject to full charges unless a qualifying event is verified.


Payment Terms

To confirm a booking, payment terms vary depending on the type of service and the start date.

Day Tours, Transfers & Individual Services

Payment requirements may vary depending on the service, availability, and booking conditions. Full payment or a deposit may be requested to secure the reservation.

Multiday Packages

For multiday packages, the price displayed at the time of booking represents a 50% reservation guarantee deposit, not the full package amount.

This deposit is required to secure your reservation when the booking is made more than 30 days before the package start date.

The remaining 50% balance must be paid before the beginning of the package, according to the agreed payment schedule.

If your package start date is within 30 days of booking, full payment is required. In this case, you may still be able to submit the 50% deposit online, but Costa Rica Wildlife Tours will contact you after receiving your reservation to request the remaining balance before the booking is fully confirmed.

Reservations are not considered fully confirmed until the required deposit or full payment has been received.


General Terms

All prices include applicable taxes and are quoted in USD.

Rates are subject to change until the booking is confirmed.

Pick-up and drop-off times may vary depending on location and logistics and will be confirmed during booking.

Clients are responsible for ensuring accurate contact details and confirming meeting logistics in advance.

Costa Rica Wildlife Tours is not responsible for delays or missed services caused by incorrect information provided by the client, late arrival at the meeting point, or failure to follow confirmed instructions.


Group Bookings

Private group tours and multiday packages are available upon request.

A minimum number of participants or minimum stay may apply for customized group services.

Special payment conditions may apply for private groups, customized itineraries, peak season dates, or services involving multiple suppliers such as hotels, transportation providers, or local guides.
