One of the biggest advantages of booking our Tortuguero turtle nesting package is that transportation is already included.

Tortuguero is not a regular drive-in destination. Travelers cannot drive directly into Tortuguero Village because there are no roads connecting the village with the rest of the country. Access is mainly by boat or small plane.

Travelers who arrive with a rental car must leave the vehicle in a parking lot at La Pavona for the number of nights they stay in Tortuguero. This means paying parking fees and leaving the car unused during the entire visit.

With transportation included, you avoid unnecessary parking costs, unused rental car days, and the stress of coordinating land and boat transfers separately. This makes the experience easier, more efficient, and especially convenient during the busy turtle nesting season.
